Serafil 40


Serafil 40 is a versatile polyester sewing thread for applications requiring a strong and reliable seam. This thread size offers an excellent balance of strength, appearance and sewability, making it suitable for a wide variety of projects involving leather, leather goods and other heavy-duty materials.

Thanks to its slightly finer thread diameter, Serafil 40 produces a more subtle stitch appearance while retaining the reliable performance for which Serafil is known. It is an excellent choice for leather and other heavy materials where the seam should be less prominent without compromising strength. This thread size is often selected when a balance between a strong seam and a neat finish is required.

Serafil 40 is available in the complete Serafil colour range of 240 colours.
